Manufacturing Technician - ManuFirstSC Certification
A basic manufacturing certification designed for South Carolinians needing entry-level eligibility for manufacturing employment. ManuFirstSC establishes areas of concentrated manufacturing businesses with a need for talent and a willingness to recognize the training in lieu of experience. The concept was developed and deployed in the Trident area and will be implemented in other areas of the state according to demand from manufacturers.
ManuFirstSC is a potential solution to address urgent pipeline shortages in the manufacturing industry. The 70-hour ManuFirstSC certification also has potential to be integrated or stacked with the more rigorous Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) certification.
Participant eligibility requirements:
- Able to work in the United States
- Earned bronze WIN/WorkKeys (ASVAB for veterans is also sufficient)
