Welcome Fall 2023 First-Year Students,
Transfer Students, and Families!

The Denmark Technical College New Student and Parent Orientation Sessions will be hosted for incoming freshmen, transfer students, and families on the campus of Denmark Technical College. 

As you engage with us during this experience students will learn: the college’s history, college prep skills, and life skills. New Student Orientation assists with connecting students with College Resources and officials in person. 

Our college Orientation Guides (OGs) and other Student Leaders are also active participants, assisting new student transition to Denmark Technical College.

New Student Orientation- Frequently Asked Questions

New Student Orientation (NSO) occurs in person on the campus of Denmark Technical College, in Denmark, South Carolina. 

Week of Welcome (WOW), is your official welcome to the Panther family, typically begins the week prior to the start of the fall and spring semesters for all new and transfer students. You will actively participate in a wide array of activities virtually, in-person. 

Yes, you can change your major your first semester, before classes start. Students should speak with their Academic Champion to discuss this in detail visit Student Success Center Staff  web page and schedule a meeting. 

Yes, all incoming first-year students’ course registration is pre-determined based on their intended major. 

All new students will take a minimum of 15 credit hours (5 or 6 courses)

At Denmark Technical College our Academic Advisors are called Academic Champions. All new (first-year and transfer) students are assigned to an Academic Champion an visit Student Success Center Staff web page and schedule a meeting.
