Weather Update

Update – 1-22, 5:30 p.m. 

Out of an abundance of caution and in alignment with Bamberg County Government, Denmark Technical College will operate on a delayed schedule tomorrow, with campus opening for regular business at 12:00 p.m.

Please be aware that weather conditions tonight and into the early morning may include icy or hazardous roadways. We strongly encourage you to stay in place whenever possible until conditions improve. By mid-morning, conditions are expected to clear, allowing for safer travel.

Essential personnel should remain in contact with their supervisors, as they may be required to follow an adjusted schedule or maintain regular hours based on operational needs.

The safety and well-being of our DTC family is always our top priority. Thank you for your partnership and cooperation as we continue to navigate the effects of the winter storm.

In light of the developments from the winter storm, Denmark Technical College will continue with virtual operations for all students and employees, with the exception of essential personnel, tomorrow. All classes and business operations will be conducted online. Students should log into D2L for information and instruction.We will continue to monitor conditions closely in collaboration with state and local officials. Please exercise caution and remain stationary throughout the duration of the storm whenever possible.We encourage everyone to stay connected to official Denmark Technical College communication platforms for the most up-to-date weather-related announcements. As always, the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and community remain our top priority.

In an abundance of caution, Denmark Technical College will transition from physical operations to virtual operations. With the exception of essential personnel, in-person operations will pause beginning with lunch hour at 12:00 p.m. today. We will reopen for both business operations and classes virtually at 1:00 p.m. Students should log into D2L for information from instructors.

We will continue to monitor conditions closely in collaboration with state and local officials. Please exercise caution as you travel to your destination and, if possible, remain stationary throughout the duration of the storm.
