Overview
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in any educational program or activity that receives federal financial assistance. Denmark Technical College is committed to providing students, faculty and staff with an educational environment free from sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking or retaliation.
Statement of nondiscrimination
Denmark Technical College does not discriminate in admissions, academic programs, services, or employment based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, genetic information, gender, military service, pregnancy, childbirth, related medical conditions (including lactation), or any other category protected by law.

Anyone can report sex discrimination or sexual misconduct directly to the Title IX coordinator by phone, email, in person or using an official reporting form. Reports may be filed by the person affected or a third party.
Rights and protections
Denmark Technical College prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports sexual misconduct or participates in the grievance process. Supportive measures are available to both complainants and respondents, including academic accommodations, no-contact orders and counseling. Complainants have the right to a prompt and equitable resolution, including notice of allegations, the opportunity to present evidence and witnesses, access to advisors and appeal rights. Respondents are presumed not responsible until a determination is made through the formal grievance process.
Grievance procedures
The college follows a formal grievance process consistent with federal Title IX regulations. The process includes an investigation, written notice, the opportunity for both parties to review evidence and an impartial decision-making process. Informal resolution may be available if all parties voluntarily agree.
Program offerings and admissions criteria
Denmark Technical College offers technical and academic programs in areas including industrial technologies, healthcare, business, information technology, liberal arts, sciences and workforce development.
Admissions criteria include a completed application, high school diploma or equivalent, program-specific prerequisites or placement testing and any required health or background checks. The college does not impose unlawful barriers based on sex or other protected categories.
Recordkeeping and privacy
The college maintains records of investigations, determinations, appeals, dismissals, informal resolutions and supportive measures for at least seven years. Privacy is protected; disclosure is limited to those with a legitimate need to know or as required by law.
