Update 9-27 1:30 p.m.
As you may be aware, Denmark Technical College is currently experiencing a loss of both power and water due to the impact of Hurricane Helena. Our Public Safety Department is actively coordinating with local municipalities, but at this time, there is no estimated restoration timeframe. This outage is affecting the entire city.On-campus residents are strongly encouraged to make alternative arrangements and vacate the residence halls if possible. If no other options are available, please shelter in place.We will keep you informed of any further updates. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this challenging time.
In response to the ongoing effects of Hurricane Helena and in alignment with Bamberg County, Denmark Technical College will be closed today. As always, the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, staff, and community remain our top priority. We hope everyone remains safe throughout the duration of the storm.
Update 9-26 – 8:00 p.m. –
In alignment with Bamberg County’s schedule and out of an abundance of caution due to potential impacts from Hurricane Helena, Denmark Technical College will be closed tomorrow morning until noon. Regularly scheduled classes will resume at noon, and select employees scheduled to work in the afternoon are expected to report. Essential personnel will remain on duty to ensure security and to maintain operations.As always, the safety of our students, staff and community is our top priority, and we encourage everyone to remain cautious throughout the duration of the storm.

In light of the potential for inclement weather from Hurricane Helene, and in an abundance of caution, Denmark Technical College will close today at 1:45 p.m. for classes and normal business operations. Essential personnel will remain on site to ensure safety and support.
We urge all students and staff to exercise caution when traveling from campus, as there is a potential for storm-related weather events. For those on campus, please stay indoors throughout the duration of the storm.
