Distance Learning

Many careers require education beyond high school. Let Denmark Technical College help you meet your career goals through distance learning. Since 1997, Denmark Technical College has helped students earn credentials anytime, anywhere.

Courses offered through distance learning include a combination of asynchronous (online) and synchronous (video conferencing or other forms of technology supporting virtual learning experiences).  As a distance learner, you will complete the same course requirements as on-campus students.

Our college is proud to be a Quality Matters institution that cares about student success. This means we make sure all distance courses meet high standards for engagement and navigation. If you have the commitment and self-discipline, you will find distance learning is an excellent way to advance your career. Let us help you forge ahead anytime, anywhere.

Distance Learning Student Services

Denmark Technical College offers distance learning courses to individuals who desire alternative instructional delivery services. All student support services, including but not limited to, advising, assessment, career planning, tutoring, and financial aid are available and accessible to students enrolled in courses at the College.

Library resources are accessible to students both on and off campus, through Denmark Tech’s library web page and D2L portal

Support services are covered in more detail in the Denmark Technical College Catalog and the student handbook.

Student Complaints

In compliance with U.S. Department of Education (USDOE) rules, an institution offering distance education must provide enrolled and prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accrediting agency and with the appropriate state agency for handling complaints in the student’s state.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHE) serves as the state’s portal agency for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA) and is the final authority for SARA-related complaints. If an out-of-state student enrolled in an SC institution via distance education wishes to file a complaint, he or she may complete and submit the CHE Student Complaint and Procedures Form.
