Meet the Coach
Coach Mills comes to Denmark Tech after spending 6 seasons as an assistant women’s soccer coach at Columbia College, from 2017 until 2023.
In 2012 he became the Coach at Richland Northeast and has spent 12 seasons as the Girl’s Soccer Coach at RNE. He has 88 wins and 118 losses at RNE for a total of 167 wins and 148 losses throughout his career. He has been named Region Coach of the Year twice while at RNE for a total of Five Region Coach of the Year awards. He was twice named North/South All-Star Classic Coach for a total of three all-star games which he won all of them. He has coached South Carolina Olympic Development Soccer and coached club soccer at Lexington Soccer Academy.
Before that, Coach Mills coached the Lexington High School girls’ team where he had 79 wins and 30 losses. He was named Region Coach of the Year three times at Lexington and won the Region title three times as well. He was named the inaugural Girl’s North/South All-Star Classic Coach in 1997.
Coach Mills has been a special education teacher, a PE teacher, and an Elementary Principal. He is married to Kristina Mills and they have two grown sons, Evan and Adam.
