Denmark Technical College proudly celebrated the coronation of Jake Wight and Amaya Larkins as Mister and Miss Denmark Technical College during a stunning ceremony on Friday evening. The elegant event honored this long-standing HBCU tradition and celebrated student leaders and scholars. Family, friends, faculty, staff, alumni and community members gathered to celebrate the new Royal Court, marking an unforgettable evening of pride and tradition.
The ceremony highlighted Denmark Technical College’s commitment to uplifting student leadership.
“I am deeply honored to represent Denmark Technical College in this role. Serving as Mister DTC will allow me to give back to a college that has already given me so much. I am ready to celebrate the core values of Denmark Tech and inspire my fellow students to reach new heights,” said Wight.
“Being chosen as Miss Denmark Technical College is a dream come true. I am excited to be a role model to my fellow students and will represent DTC with integrity and pride. This is a moment I will always cherish and I look forward to serving our student body and community,” added Larkins.
The evening’s coronation ceremony was a beautiful spectacle, showcasing Denmark Technical College’s pride and excellence and reinforcing a cherished tradition. With the appointment of this year’s Royal Court, Denmark Technical College continues its legacy of cultivating leaders who embody the spirit and values of the college.
