Mission
The mission of the Criminal Justice Program is to prepare all its students for successful careers in the criminal justice field, either immediately after the completion of this program or after transferring to a four-year university for additional education. Graduates within the criminal justice program will attain proficiency in written and oral communication skills, computer literacy, information processing, mathematics, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills essential for both life-long learning and enhancing the economic development and growth of the service area and the state.
Program Quick Facts
The Criminal Justice Program has traditionally been one of the most heavily subscribed programs at the college. The instructor(s) have performed a variety of roles at the college by serving on numerous committees and helping other faculty and staff. Those that attend the Criminal Justice Academy upon graduation have found the academyโs classroom material presented easier to understand; those who opt to attend a four-year institution generally have most of their credits accepted and can get a bachelorโs degree in 2 years.
