Crotty Saland Equal Justice Scholarship | Award: $1,000

New York criminal defense attorneys Elizabeth Crotty and Jeremy Saland have dedicated their careers to the dual proposition that every member of society is entitled to fairness before the law and that the circumstances of one's birth should never restrict full access to justice. In furtherance of the above principles, the firm is proud to announce the establishment of the Crotty Saland Equal Access to Justice Scholarship.

One of the many reasons the attorneys at Hamilton, Hull & Byrd practice law is to dedicate themselves to giving back and helping those who are most in need of help. They seek chances to assist those in their community whenever they can, and that is why they are happy to announce the Hamilton, Hull & Byrd Giving Back Scholarship.

Scholarship for Children of Divorce and Single-Parent Families | Award: $500

Over the last two decades, attorney Edward R. Weinstein. Esq. has dedicated his career to guiding families through the emotionally challenging landscape of divorce, child custody disputes, domestic violence and other family law matters. A financial award in the amount of $500 will be given each year to a higher education student who has demonstrated a high degree of determination and perseverance despite the hurdles he or she may have encountered earlier in life due to parental divorce or estrangement.

Steve Duckett Local Conservation Scholarship and Essay Contest | Award: $500

Steve Duckett is proud to sponsor a scholarship and essay contest that contributes to the awareness and the active discussion about natural conservation in the digital age. More than any other generation, the young people who are learning about and taking action on the issues that face our nation’s natural resources are in the best position to make a positive difference and set the tone for generations to come. The Steve Duckett Local Conservation Scholarship will be awarded to an individual who demonstrates exceptional commitment to natural conservation and environmental stewardship in his or her own community.

Thomas Soldan Healthy Communities Scholarship | Award: $500

Thomas Soldan, Attorney at Law, avid trail runner and local-sports team supporter, is passionate about the development of healthy communities. Through the use of sustainable resources and food-access programs like Meals on Wheels America or local farmer’s markets, cities and counties across the country are able to provide nutrition and activities to foster vibrant and growing communities.

Dr. Edward Jacobson Healthy Scholarship | Award: $500

Greenwich Gynecology LLC is proud to announce the establishment of the Dr. Edward Jacobson Healthy Living Scholarship. Pursuant to this initiative, a financial grant in the amount of $500 will be awarded each year to a higher education student who demonstrates an extraordinary level of commitment to health and wellness on both a personal and a community-wide basis.

Angela Dipietro Women in Business Scholarship | Award: $500

There are many hurdles for women to overcome in the workplace, and Ms. DiPietro is an outspoken advocate for continuing the fight for equality and increased opportunities for underrepresented women. Progress has been made—the wage gap is closing in many professions, more women are entering the STEM fields, and gender roles are becoming less restrictive—but there is still so much work to be done. Ms. DiPietro feels that one of the best ways to encourage women entrepreneurs is to provide access to more and better educational opportunities for women everywhere.

Amato Sanita Brighter Future Scholarship | Award: $500

Mr. Sanita believes that it is incredibly important to empower others to make the world a better place by helping them to realize their full academic potential.  A quality education is the foundation upon which a single person can begin building a brighter future for all people.  Whether a person is working to finance an undergraduate degree or find a way to pay for law school, there is great value in enabling those who seek to learn how to improve the world we live in.



Denmark Technical College offers you a college experience that’s based on the latest of technology. Our priorities include small class sizes, commitment to the educational growth of our students, and pride in our outstanding faculty who have actual experience in their fields. Our staff also plays an essential role in assisting our students in achieving their educational goals.
Co-curricular activities are a vital part of the college experience and Denmark Technical College offers a diverse range of programs and services to support student success. Our programs complement the learning that takes place in the classroom and enhance the overall educational experience of our students.
The Academic Support Center provides tutoring and mentoring support to all Denmark Technical College students. Through these services, students will be afforded the opportunity to become independent learners and strengthen their academic weaknesses. The center is located in building 029 and is equipped with a tutorial computer lab for on-line tutoring services. DTC students may apply for tutoring at any point in a semester. All students are required to log in for sessions. Services are free to currently enrolled DTC students.
