LRC/TECHNOLOGY ROOM RESERVATION GUIDELINES
Purpose of the Technology Room and Study Rooms:
Both rooms are available for use by DTC faculty, staff and sponsored guests for academic purposes only. The Technology Room is intended for academic and research group work/projects requiring use of some form of technology related equipment.
Priority for Use of Rooms:
1) Library – provided instruction sessions;
2) Library/Administration sponsored meetings and events;
3) Non-Library sponsored meetings or events.
Hours Available for Reservation:
The Technology Room and two (2) study rooms are available during library hours. Reservations can be made in increments of two (2) hours. Additional time can be granted if there is no additional reservation.
Rooms must be vacated at least 30 minutes prior to library closings to allow staff time to perform closing procedures.
How to Reserve the Technology Room or a Study Room:
1- Complete the Technology Room Reservation Form.
2-Approval must be granted by the dean of the library/LRC.
3-Once approval has been granted, you will be notified of approval or denial. If denied, the requestor will be informed why the request was not approved; an alternate solution will be suggested.
Technology Room Available Equipment:
The Technology Room is equipped with 26 computers, wireless capability, Ethernet, telephone jacks, PC and DVD for PowerPoint Presentations, a SmartBoard, video conferencing capabilities. Additional equipment may be available upon request.
Room arrangement of furniture/equipment must be approved by the Dean of the LRC. Please note room change preferences on the Technology Room Form.
Technology Room – Room capacity should not exceed 50 people.
Study Rooms – Room capacity should not exceed 7 people.
Food and Drink allowed?
No; unless provided by DTC Catering Services.
