RE: Denmark Technical College President Leonard McIntyre welcomes Dr.Lamin E.Drammeh
Denmark SC — Denmark Technical College President Leonard A. McIntyre joins the Denmark Technical College in welcoming Dr. Lamin Drammeh as the college’s Executive Director and Special Assistant to the President.
Dr. Drammeh’s 14 year track record includes higher education leadership, management, and development experience in both domestic and international arenas. In his position as Senior Research Director for Outreach, Planning and Development, he diligently worked to establish partnerships with both national and international higher education institutions.
DTC President Dr. McIntyre is enthusiastic about the recent addition to his senior leadership team. “Dr. Drammeh is an outstanding individual with a solid leadership, research, and development reputation. He will bring exceptional academic and visionary leadership and international experience.”
Previously, Dr. Drammeh had served as the Senior International Officer and Special Assistant to the President for International Affairs, where he worked to internationalize the university to prepare students to compete successfully in a global society. In this position, Dr. Drammeh successfully facilitated the enrollment of exchange students from Brazil to SC University STEM degree programs. Dr. Drammeh’s leadership and management experiences also comprise nine years spent as the Program Manager over the largest international collaborative partnership funded by USAID in SC to date, where he managed the development, writing, publishing and distribution of 3.4 million STEM textbooks and other materials for use in the United Republic of Tanzania.
Dr. Drammeh is looking forward to achieving the same success here at Denmark Tech by engaging in Dr. McIntyre’s vision of DTC becoming a world class college. “I am very eager to join the Denmark Technical College community under the leadership of President McIntyre. I believe the best days of Denmark Tech are ahead of all of us as we embark on the journey of preparing the future workforce and leaders of our nation.” To that end, “I look forward to working with the President’s executive council, faculty, staff, and students to implement the vision of the President and successfully achieve the mission of the college.”
Dr. McIntyre has high praise for Dr. Drammeh’s background and character. “He will bring important new perspectives and talents to Denmark Technical College’s ongoing quest to build and promote our college with excellence. His energy, professionalism and high intellectual standards along with a deep understanding of my vision to make Denmark Tech a world class college will help achieve that end goal.”

Drammeh has a doctorate in Educational Administration from SC State University and premier development and management training. He is married to Starla Drammeh; they have three daughters: Jordyn 8 years, Londyn 6 years, and Morgyn 3 years.
